Financial & Payment Policy.

No surprises
You will always know what treatment costs before it begins. For anything beyond a routine exam, cleaning, or x-ray, we provide a written treatment plan and estimate, and we go through it with you until it makes sense.
When payment is due
- Payment for the patient portion is due at the time of service unless a written arrangement has been made in advance.
- Longer or specialised appointments — surgery, sedation, or multi-hour treatment — may require a deposit to reserve the time. Deposits are applied to your treatment cost.
- For treatment completed over several visits, we can spread payment across those appointments.
Ways to pay
We accept debit, Visa, Mastercard, and cash. Fees follow the current fee guide of the Ontario Dental Association. Ask us about flexible payment plans for larger treatment — we will set out the schedule in writing before you commit, with no hidden charges.
Dental insurance
- We submit claims electronically for you and direct-bill your plan where the plan allows it.
- Your coverage is a contract between you and your insurer. We can estimate coverage, but we cannot guarantee what an insurer will pay.
- Any amount your plan does not cover — including deductibles, co-payments, annual maximums, and treatment your plan excludes — is your responsibility.
- If a plan has not paid within 60 days, the outstanding balance becomes payable by the patient and we will help you follow up with the insurer.
NIHB and CDCP
We direct-bill Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) for eligible First Nations and Inuit patients, and we accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Bring your status or CDCP information with you and we handle the submission.
- Some treatment needs pre-approval. We submit it and tell you the outcome before booking the work.
- These programs cover most, but not all, treatment. Where a service falls outside coverage, we tell you the cost in writing first and never proceed without your agreement.
- Full details are on our Insurance & Fees and Community Care pages.
Overdue balances and refunds
Accounts unpaid after 30 days may carry interest, and long-overdue accounts may be referred for collection. Before that ever happens we will contact you and offer a payment arrangement — if money is the obstacle, tell us and we will work with you. Credit balances are refunded by the original payment method once any insurer payment has settled.
Missed appointments
Missed or late-cancelled appointments may carry a fee, which is not covered by any insurer or program. See our Appointment, Cancellation & No-Show Policy.
